Pebble Beach is a small coastal unincorporated community in Monterey County, California. Best known as a resort destination, the area is home to the famous golf course, Pebble Beach Golf Links. Pebble Beach is not a city at all, but rather a corporation owned by the Pebble Beach Company.
Pebble Beach is a roadside park along Highway 1 located about midway between Pigeon Point and Pescadero in San Mateo County. Looking south from the coast trail at Pebble Beach, you can see this irregular erosion pattern in the sandstone and conglomerate beds of the Pigeon Point Formation (Cretaceous).
